The Screen Before the Screen. An immersive digital prologue for the feature film "White," designed to transport visitors into the movie's atmospheric world before they even enter the theater.

In the streaming era, audience attention spans are shorter than movie trailers. Standard promotional websites—usually just a static page with a "Book Tickets" button and a cast list—fail to capture the emotional weight of a film. The Brief: The film "White" is a visual masterpiece relying on tension, silence, and atmosphere. The digital presence needed to mirror this. We couldn't just tell the audience what the movie was about; we had to make them feel it.
We treated the website not as a brochure, but as an interactive trailer. We utilized Scrollytelling techniques to dictate the pacing of the user journey, ensuring that every scroll triggered a deliberate visual or auditory reaction.
We stripped away the clutter. The interface is minimal, dominated by full-screen cinematography. We implemented "Parallax Depth" where foreground characters move at different speeds than the background, creating a 3D effect without 3D glasses.
Sound is half the picture. We engineered a spatial audio experience that evolves as the user scrolls. The background score builds tension, and sound effects trigger on hover, pulling the user deeper into the narrative.
To reward curiosity, we hid "Easter Eggs" throughout the site—glitch effects that reveal hidden plot points when interacted with. This gamified the exploration, encouraging users to hunt for clues about the film's mystery.
High-res video usually kills load times. We built a custom video buffering system that pre-loads assets intelligently, ensuring the experience remains buttery smooth (60fps) even on mobile devices.
